CT Palmer Cabin Sauna — Eastern White Cedar

A classic shed-style sauna, handcrafted in Ontario from locally sourced Eastern White Cedar. Straight walls, a conventional door, and 86.25″ of standing height throughout — a cabin reads as a small building rather than a vessel, which matters if it is going somewhere visible from the house.

Eastern White Cedar is the lighter of the sauna cedars, with tight, refined knots and a clean grain that stays pale rather than reddening. It resists moisture and long-term wear without treatment, and it carries the scent that makes a cedar room recognisable the moment the door opens.

Delivery & Assembly

The Palmer ships flat as a kit and is assembled on site. The crate measures 96″ × 45″ × 44″ and weighs 1,776 lb, so the constraint on your delivery path is 44 inches — not the 98-inch finished cabin.

Build Time

Cabin saunas are built to order. Current estimated build time is approximately nine weeks from order, before transit. Confirm the current date with our concierge before ordering against a deadline.

Heating

With the recommended 6 kW electric heater the Palmer needs a 240V 40A double-pole circuit, hardwired by a licensed electrician. Larger heaters require a larger circuit — confirm the requirement for the heater you select.

Configured with a wood-burning heater, no supply circuit is needed for heat, but a chimney kit and a floor plate are both required — the cabin floor is combustible and the heater manufacturer mandates an installation base over it. The Palmer's chimney routes out the side or back; top-exit heaters are not compatible with this cabin. Overhead and chimney clearances vary by stove model and depend on how the installation is specified; manufacturer heat shields and an insulated Class A chimney both reduce the distances an unshielded single-wall install would need. Wood-burning appliances carry local ordinance requirements — verify with your fire marshal before ordering.

Warranty

Products designed and manufactured by Dundalk LeisureCraft Inc. carry a five (5) year residential limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, beginning the date the product is received by the original end-user consumer.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper installation, insufficient or improper maintenance, natural weather conditions, or failure to follow the manufacturer's installation, usage, or care instructions. Valid claims are fulfilled by replacement parts at no charge; replacement does not extend the original warranty period. The warranty is limited to replacement parts and does not cover service, labor, or installation costs.

All electrical connections must be made by a licensed electrician. Failure to comply voids the warranty.
